My slideshow

Hi guys!

So this week I have created a short 1 minutes slide show about Copyrighting using this super cool tool called Animoto.

If you have ever used power point well then there you go, you should have no problem understanding this tool. Like PowerPoint, Animoto allows you to add images and text about your topic. The only differences are that Animoto allows you to easily add music, provided by the tool, to make your slide more interesting and animated! Unlike PowerPoint, Animoto only allows you to add very short and brief texts; the texts limits you to add no more than 100 characters per slide, which, when you think of it, make the slides more attractive for the reader to view.

Animato and digital literacy and responsibility
Animoto is such a great tool for learning to communicate and exchange your knowledge on a topic in a brief concise manner. Due to its character limit, you have no way to babble on about a topic. It also allows “full electronic participation” both from the creator of the slide and from anyone with access to the internet thus is a very inclusive tool.

Now looking at the process of creating a slide, Animoto is perhaps one of the best tools I have encountered to date that shows you step by step how to create a slide, edit a slide, save a slide and upload a slide.

The only problem I have with this tool is that it is not completely private. Although it allows an option for you to allow comments or not and allow social sharing by viewers or not, it does not show an option for keeping you slide private from others. However it might be difficult for anyone to find your slideshow without any knowledge of its existence.

Aside from that one problem, I find nothing wrong with this tool. In fact I have a couple of assignment that require me to use videos/slideshows and I believe I will utilize this tool to its fullest.

That’s all for this post. Have a nice day and please view my slide below!
